Getting ready to fly out to Tulsa tomorrow where I'll be doing an Ed Session at NACA Central, a concert at the Spotlight Theater and then on to La Grange TX for a show at the Bugle Boy.  Getting over a bad head cold and praying to the flight Gods that is clears up before tomorrow!

Portland was incredible-rainy but incredible!  A big thanks to everyone at Mississippi Studios and Marty Hughley at the Oregonian for featuring me as one of the "5 Live" picks for the week!  I definitely want to get back there sometime when the weather is kinder and I'm not sick!

I know, I know...it's been a while. So much going on, and not ready to reveal anything yet;-)  I've enjoyed the last few shows and very excited about what's coming up. All I know is that good things are worth waiting for, you can make the "impossible" possible and it is ok to listen to your own heart even if others don't understand or question your judgment!

I am so completely overwhelmed by the show of love and support this past Saturday night at the House Concert at Setauket Neighborhood House.  From the amazingly generous sponsors to the adventurous spirits that drove from all over the Island (Queens, Freeport, Massapequa and more!), it was truly an inspirational evening.

Newsday did this incredible article which definitely had a hand in the great turn out that we had.  Ryan from Setauket Starbucks went above and beyond the call of duty by not only donating the coffee service, but setting the whole thing up for us!  Judy from Pindar was a doll.  The wine flowed freely and our guests definitely enjoyed it!  Angela & Nick from Premier Bakery of St. James blew everyone away with their incredible, artful pastries.   These people are truly talented!

My special guest Terry Winchell was amazing as always-everyone agreed!  Anthony Pomes was a surprise guest who also received numerous compliments for his wonderful guitar work during the finale.  And of course, I can't forget to mention our dashing and debonair M.C. Mr. Nicholas J. DiMauro.  He kept the whole thing running smoothly!

The musicians in my trio; Victoria Leavitt and Joel Newton were such welcome additions to my musical journey.  Aside from being talented musicians, they're both great fun to work with!

Maria-the resident manager from the Neighborhood House couldn't have been nicer or easier to work with.  I hope we get to do a lot more shows together!

My wonderful family/friends who pitched in-too many to name, but to name a few: Jen Walsh, the McCarty Family, the DiMauro's and Amy Rosen-oh Amy, if it weren't for you, we'd still be there cleaning up!

My biggest thanks again goes to Gian DiMauro who worked like a dog and (almost) didn't complain at all! :-)  Everyone was commenting about the how great the sound was and that the lighting was lovely.

All in all, it was more work than I ever imagined and truly worth every second of it.  I was very touched by how open and gregarious attendees were.  They were free with their words of support and most certainly made the evening what is was-PURE MAGIC!!!!

Thank you all again!

I know it's been a while since I last wrote.  I've been all over the place playing and all-consumed by the House Concert.  I'm not complaining, just explaining;-)

Anyway, this weekend was A-MAZ-ING!!!!!  Performed at this wonderful Church in Mystic, CT-yes, home of the pizza!  And yes, we did have pizza.....it was different then NY pizza, but something comforting about it.  The show was so great-met some really talented, wonderful women.  I hope I spell names correctly...forgive me if I don't, but want to mention: Mehgan Carey, Jennifer Yax, Courtney Patty, Michelle Lewis, Chaden Zack, and the lovely organizer, Kay Pere.  All great singers, very honest songwriters and truly good souls.  It was an honor and pleasure to share the bill with you all!

A big thank you to Bill and Kay Pere who were not only lovely hosts, but so talented!  It was so great to witness your great spirits joined in song.

The CT Songwriting & Performance Conference was an inspiration on every conceivable level.  Not only was I privileged to speak and perform to such attentive audiences, but I got to witness first-hand how collaborative efforts strengthen any cause.  Too many wonderful talents to name, but notably; Nancy Tucker-if you have a chance to see her-GO, Alex Forbes-great spirit, great advice, great songwriter, Jen Chapin-no words, she brought me to tears-literally! Scott Sivakoff and of course, Bill, Kay and Melody Pere, the LUNCH Ensemble.  Check out www.CTSongwriters.com to find out more about this great organization.

You know those moments when you feel like you're in synch with the entire universe?  That's kind of what this show felt like.  I always have anxiety playing NYC.  Dealing with the parking, the unexpected traffic "surprises."  Then there's always the chance that the fans of the band before or after you will talk through your entire set because they're there to see someone else.  Well this was such a departure from all of that.  Arlene's has a separate room for the music, so anyone in there, is there to LISTEN:-)  Playing with Victoria Leavitt (cellist extraordinaire) was SO AMAZING!  It was like we played together for our entire lives.  Such great chemistry.  It was like flying.  We had a great, supportive crowd and I felt very solid.  It was a great payoff, because there are times when I start to wonder if all this work is getting me anywhere.  Saturday made me feel like it doesn't matter where I get, it just mattered that where I was, was wonderful!

Played Tiger Lily Café again in Port Jefferson.  I'm loving this little venue so much, it might become a frequent stop for me.  I love that even though the general draw there is for the food that people really listen!  It's so nice to feel such great energy coming from the tables....and the lovely comments really make my day!

Went to a birthday celebration for my good friend Judith Zweiman.  She's without question, one of the most talented songwriters I've ever had the pleasure of knowing and working with.  I find it amazing and absurd that more people haven't been graced with her talent...at the very least, the place was packed and I was so touched by the outpouring of love and respect.  I'm so glad I was in town to share this wonderful event with her!

It has been a long haul.  Between being sick and then updating this site, I'm pretty spent!  I am so excited that it is all done-for the moment at least:-)  The shows have been getting better and better, mainly because of the wonderful people coming out to support them!  The New Year is off the a wonderful start...I'm looking forward to seeing what happens!
